At the last committee meeting it was suggested that because of the local A&P show that locally JOTA would only be run on the Sunday. At the last club meeting this was agreed to and plans made for the Sunday. On Saturday club members set up poles, installed aerials and ran cables. Early Sunday the equipment had all been set up and was operational. A good day and hopefully all those involved enjoyed themselves. HF was poor so few contacts were made but IRLP and the national link were well used as well as the computer equipment using reflectors and Echolink. Star of the day had to be Google Earth on a large widescreen which along with the computer set up allowed very easy operation of voice contacts while allowing pictures and maps of the area where the contact was located - the world is getting smaller. Amongst those taking part were Robert,  Alister,  Ric,  Peter,  Alan, Rolly, Ross and  many others including all the non amateurs and  those of the scout hall operators who provided tea and refreshments.
While the IRLP node does not appear on the Summary IRLP web site it is operating normally and the cause is being investigate. Pleased to report Ric has made a contact on 2meters with amateurs in Gisborne ( Victoria that is
he has also worked almost all the other Australian states on IRLP
