Gisborne Car Rally

Gisborne amateurs set up and operated  eight field stations for the car rally. HF, UHF and VHF was used. Apart from 690 most activity was via the repeater site suppled and set up by the Hawkes Bay amateurs responsible for rally communications.  This included a two meter repeater linked to the local 950 UHF repeater, a remotely operated HF station linked by a UHF repeater to rally headquarters, a digi repeater and a commercial VHF repeater along with solar panels and batteries plus the two aerial poles and all the aerials
 The rain held off and all heard from seemed to have really enjoyed the day
