A crystal set has been set up with a long wire aerial to feed the set whch drives an IC amplifier for a small speaker. A solar panel (obtained from the ECMOT) has been mounted on the roof to supply power to the amplifier and a regulator is being constructed. The club dipole aerial on the roof now feeds one of the club's T198 radios receiving APRS on 144.575MHz and the audio is fed to the computer running the AGWPE packet programme and UI-View which allows a display of APRS signals in this area. |
