2010-02-26 No Kordia Agreement

posted Jun 11, 2010, 3:10 PM by Jim Tittsler
Amateurs have six months to remove equipment from Kordia sites. (needs to be done in three as removal in winter may be not possible). Not only will this affect the national system locally but also the digi and 690 repeaters. There is a possibility of the branch signing a separate agreement with Kodia and the secretary is inquiring into this however the cost and other conditions may prevent this even with help from nearby branches. Also local members are investigating other possible sites as if the national systems closes in the meantime only the digi and 690 will required relocating. (Please note that any relocation of more than 100 meters from the existing licence position requires a new repeater/s application and licensing.)

See NZART web site for complete details.
