National System Under Test

The November 2007 branch meeting agreed to purchase an invertor to power all equipment at site. Steve ZL2RI is coordinating its installation, the battery, and update to the rack.

Roger, ZL2RC, has burned in the repeater at his Gisborne QTH. Hams around Gisborne have been able to use the system as part of a final checkout. Roger has now installed the upgraded power supply at the repeater. On February 10th he installed the repeater at Whakapunake. It is not currently connected to the National System, but hams locally are invited to use it on 439.875-.
